I inserted the following and it did the trick with red boxes around the inputs: $("#_fid_6, #_fid_7, #_fid_8").on("change", function() { if (!$(this).val()) { $(this).css({ border: "2px solid red" }); } else { $(this).css({ border: "0px white" }); } }).trigger("change"); Use Script to Put a Red Border Around Incomplete FieldsI'm trying to figure out a way to adjust the border and color of text entries or fields that are null to allow users a visible indicator of which fields remain incomplete. The fields aren't required, but we want to make sure they're visible when left empty. I use Dan's iol technique to assist with making columns in embedded reports look better, so I assume I may be able to leverage that somehow. I've written the following function: function redBorder(fid){ $(fid).css({ border: "2px solid red" }); } But I'm unsure how to tie this together. I thought maybe I could create a field for each section on my form that calls the function for each empty field within the section. This might be impossible. Let me know. I appreciate your help.Re: Need to increase the columns width of Grid Edit ReportJust sharing. I dropped a grid edit onto a form and was having an issue with my long text field columns being too short as well. I only have two fields that require longer text entry, so the entire table fits well within the browser window. I changed the default value for the fields to provide a short explanation as to what should be entered into the field. For example, "Enter a short description of the defect that occurred." That caused the columns to widen to accommodate the length of the entry without the unsightly underscore on the field name. This may or may not be helpful for your application, but for those who are having the same issue as I am, this might be a simple solution. Good luck! Re: Has anybody noticed annoying and ugly form design issues lately???Same issue.Re: Increase related table sizes in formsOh, I didn't realize that leaving those blank caused the table to increase in size like that. Interesting. Deleting the Rows to display property did the trick. Thanks.Re: Increase related table sizes in formsThis works well for the first embedded report on a form, but doesn't seem to work for the others. Is there a way to do this for every embedded report?Re: Increase related table sizes in formsClassic over-thinking. Thanks for sending me in the right direction.Re: Increase related table sizes in formsHow would I increase the height attribute? This doesn't seem to work for me: $("div.VRinDiv").css("height", "450px");
