A technique I learned one EMPOWER year from VARC solutions is to use a conflicting rule to hide Sections: Multiple Conditions, When the User IS in the Role Administrator (and) When the User IS NOT in the Role Administrator then SHOW Section XYZ (the one to be hidden all the time) And another trick, for ADD forms is to use When the [Date Created] is Empty to hide/show fields/sections/tabs.RE: Issue while extracting as csv
Sam, To properly open this, you have to download the file but not open it. You then need to open excel and use the DATA tab to import data from a csv file. When it opens you need to make sure the FILE ORIGIN box is properly selected. Choose the 65001: Unicode (UTF-8). To open your spreadsheet now, click on the LOAD button at the bottom right of the form. Any default value only applies to new records created after the change to the default value. For existing records you will need to manually update those to the default user. You can do this by building a report of affected records and the using search and replace (from the more menu) or by grid edit in a report or from the field in a form. Only Quickbase Automations would action (once made active) in a COPY application instead of an original instance. Webhooks are programmed to which app/table ID they update; so those have to be "fixed" in a copy application to point to the correct app/table. Automations do not copy at all, so you have to rebuild there. Pipelines are "realm level" and not application level; so would never fire on the copy-app unless you created Pipelines to do that. Can you explain whether your "hidden variable" is a Formula-Field or a Formula-Field referencing a "Variable" at the App Level. A variable cannot/will not pickup-data from a record in a table; but a record in a table CAN reference a Variable value (app level). If your field on the left is a Formula-Field; then check your Formula-Field is populated correctly; and that it is not a List-Text field because your criteria "is equal to" will not work on a List-Text option field; it must be contains or includes. I would suggest using instead an email notification triggered by a date/time field which can send an open-email to the [manager email] through Quickbase (with no user involvement) and send the content of the record by embedding a specific form instead of building an email (you can use a Form instead) so the email looks like a Quickbase Form Layout instead. ------------------------------ Laura Thacker IDS ------------------------------
