I will look deeper into it. Add formatting to your forms. If you want to add a bit of separation to your form I stumbled onto this. Maybe it's published but this works. See attached video So you have "TABS" and "Text" for form formatting. Well, let's say you want to delineate an area in a form by putting a box around it. Editing Form: 1: (first "text" element.) <table style="width:100%;border:1px solid black"> 2: (last "text" element.) </table> You can encompass many fields on your form by putting the </table> further down. ------------------------------ Douglas Folk ------------------------------ Re: Add button that saves the current document and redirects in Mobile AppRedirect to same record to show the part number. I was going through the paces and - I would like to see the number not have to consult the database - with what number did I get. So - I have the user fill out the description and then the button appears for them to save the document and reopen to show the number. -I don't want them to have to move off the record to hit save. Teach them to hit CTRL-S. There isn't just a SAVE button either. I have never tried just a SAVE button either :) ------------------------------ Douglas Folk ------------------------------ Re: Add button that saves the current document and redirects in Mobile AppI am creating sequential numbers for physical parts, phantom parts and assemblies = Part numbers. I am using the Record ID + a number to = my final number. To do this and because the number isn't calculated until the document is saved... Work flow is they click to create a new RECORD. -The form requires them to enter a descrition. -After the description is entered -Show a button - "Get My Number" -The button saves the doc and redirects. However - this doesn't work on the app. Further investigation indicates I shouldn't be using Javascript in this area anyway. var text URLONE=URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?-er&rid=" & URLEncode ([Record ID#]); "<a class='Vibrant Snowy' style=\"width:100px; text-align: center; background-color:#81DBF8; onclick=\"javascript: DoSaveAdd();\" \" href=\"" & $URLONE & "\"></a>" Help is appreciated. ------------------------------ Douglas Folk ------------------------------ Add button that saves the current document and redirects in Mobile AppWhy isn't there a genuine-home grown button command in Quickbase? First question. In my database I have the user fill out a description then I want them to "GET THERE NUMBER" (Button) This works on a web browser but not on the app. var text URLONE=URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?-er&rid=" & URLEncode ([Record ID#]); "<a class='Vibrant Snowy' style=\"width:100px; text-align: center; background-color:#81DBF8; onclick=\"javascript: DoSaveAdd();\" \" href=\"" & $URLONE & "\"></a>" This is a simple ask, yes? I don't understand why there isn't a direct answer to this question from Quickbase. E.g How to add a button using.... ------------------------------ Douglas Folk ------------------------------ Re: Sequential Number Formula - Add Number to Record IDRyan, Did you ever get to a solution? ------------------------------ Douglas Folk ------------------------------ Re: Turbocharge your processes with Quickbase barcode scanningBrian, I already did, yesterday.Re: Turbocharge your processes with Quickbase barcode scanningGalaxy Note 10+ Arrow pointing to "Barcode" Icon hidden by the keyboard.
