I think the Search and Replace in excel could actually be a simple resolve, and then converting the field into a multi select. Will give it a try - thank you both for your help!! ------------------------------ Coleen Schmitt ------------------------------ Parsing Text field into Multi Select Text Field OptionsHi, I'm doing a bulk data upload into a text field and I'm wondering if theres a way that I can take the items listed in regular text field (separated by comma) and transfer them into the options of a Multi Select Text field. Would need to look something like this: Text Field: "Option 1, Option 2, Option 3" Goes into: Multi Select Text Field: Option 1 Option 2 Option 3 Wondering if there is a formula that could generate the multi select list or if this is not something thats just not possible to do. Thanks! ------------------------------ Coleen Schmitt ------------------------------ Re: Hyperlink in a Rich Text FormulaUnfortunately this field is meant to live on a report and in an email notification which is why the Form Rules won't work in this scenario. Thank you for the suggestion though! Re: Hyperlink in a Rich Text Formulatried that too. No luck :/Re: Hyperlink in a Rich Text FormulaEven when I use a var text to add the http:// before the URL i'm still getting same error (QB does not recognize the link) which is frustrating because the link is the exact same to what is showing in the URL field (as seen in screenshot below). The only way that seems to actually be working is when i type the exact URL into the a=href formula (ie. var text URL="<a href=' "www.google.com"'&"; '>"&$URLWords&"</a>"; Unfortunately that wont work for me since the URL is always going to be different. any other ideas? If not i have appreciated your help and speedy responses regardless! Re: Hyperlink in a Rich Text FormulaNo luck, still returning the same result. Could it be something with needing to the http:// in the rich text formula? using google.com as an example the URL field is returning http://www.google.com, but the rich text field is only returning www.google.com Hyperlink in a Rich Text FormulaHi, I am trying to create a rich text field that based on certain data either returns a plain text message or a hyperlink that is grabbed from another URL field on the same table. Below is what I have so far, but the Hyperlink though displaying correctly in the output is getting an error message when I click on it. I can confirm that the URL is correct though as it works when I click on it in the URL field. var text URLWords=ToText([URL Field]) var text URL="<a href="&[URL Field]&">"&$URLWords&"</a>"; If([FileAttached]=true, "File Attached",$URL) Below is a pic of the error message I am receiving. Any help would be appreciated! Re: Formula URL to Specific Form and Check off Checkbox fieldAmazing, thank you!!Re: Formula URL to Specific Form and Check off Checkbox fieldThanks! Looks like the function to check the checkbox worked, but I also need the button to drive to form ID 13 (not the main form for this table). How do i make that work? Formula URL to Specific Form and Check off Checkbox fieldHi, I am trying to create a button that will drive to a different form on the same table and also check off a Checkbox field (field 324). I have tried several formulas, all coming up unsuccessful. Here is the latest I am working with: var text URL = URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_OPPORTUNITIES]& "?act=API_EditRecord" &"&rid=" & URLEncode([Record ID#]) & "&dfid=13" &"&_fid_324=1" & "&apptoken=" & "xxxxxxxxx"; "javascript:" & "$.get('" & $URL & "',function(){" & "location.reload(true);" & "});" & "void(0);" Help! What am I doing wrong?
