To do this, you will also need to write a pipeline that will check or uncheck the box based on dates or other options. More involved but you may want that type of control depending on the report you want. ------------------------------ Brian Crowther ------------------------------ Re: TimeLine Starting Date dynamic ------------------------------ Brian Crowther ------------------------------ Re: TimeLine Starting Date dynamic Ok, worked it out a couple of ways but the easy way is to do this. Go into your timeline report, go to Filters, Initial, select filter day off records, all, Select start of the project and select is on or after select days, my case 7 and select days in the past. You could then add another line of end days is on or before days in the future for me this would be 30. Dumb I know I should have seen this sooner but I figured it out. I hope this will help you if your looking. ------------------------------ Brian Crowther ------------------------------ Re: TimeLine Starting Date dynamic Thank you so much for your insight. I will see what I can do. I I find something I will post. ------------------------------ Brian Crowther ------------------------------ Re: TimeLine Starting Date dynamic I can see this possibly working if it is a global variable (I don't know that QB has that option). However, how I see what you're saying as a field in the same table as my start and end date for time off. Once the script has a date, it will fill in the field. Not to be re-created untell another trigger happens. I need a trigger to activate when the TimeLine table displays. Or are you placing the script in the TimeLine settings, if so I do not see a way to do this. I am playing with the idea of adding a hidden completed check box field to be selected once the date has passed, then exclude (or include) from a search. ------------------------------ Brian Crowther ------------------------------ TimeLine Starting Date dynamic I want to have my timeline report to always have the date span "Starting Date: and Ending Date: to be dynamic. A week prior to the current day and two months out from the current day. Do I have any options for editing this starting and ending date? This is for a time off chart where past time off does not need to be seen. ------------------------------ Brian Crowther ------------------------------ Re: Incoming JSON or Incoming Request JWT Token After a lot of chasing my own tail, I was able to make this work on a windows computer with openssl and postman. 1. Install openssl 2. Create a folder that you will work in. I named mine RSAQBkey. 3. Run 2 commands under that directory. 4. openssl genrsa -out private-key.pem 3072 5. openssl rsa -in private-key.pem -pubout -out public-key.pem 6. you will now have two new files in the folder. private-key.pem, and public-key.pem. 7. open the file in notepad and copy and past in quickbase. 8. post private key in postman with the payload. Notice the payload of first:Ham and Last:Burger. This is what will post to my DB. Must be in payload or it will not work. Then add to the payload as needed for what you need to post or modify. 9 You will need to look at the post and look for the correct syntax for use in your pipeline under create or modify record. For me it is {{a.jwt_payload.last}} 10. Observation of running pipeline. I hope this is clear to anyone who reads it later. I know it was a struggle to get it to work for me for testing. Now that I have this base information, I can post, change, etc, information from a web form. ------------------------------ Brian Crowther ------------------------------ Re: Incoming JSON or Incoming Request JWT Token ------------------------------ Brian Crowther ------------------------------ Re: Incoming JSON or Incoming Request JWT Token ------------------------------ Brian Crowther ------------------------------ Re: Incoming JSON or Incoming Request JWT Token At this time, I am just trying to do proof of concept as well. In the example above you added the private key and public key in the respective locations in QuickBase and postman? What tool did you use to generate your key pair? ------------------------------ Brian Crowther ------------------------------
