If anyone has an update on this please let me know. ------------------------------ Daniel ------------------------------ Re: To capture an XML response from an API in PipelinesI'm trying to follow how to use this information but am stumped. I have posted my question in detail here: (Pipelines) Get Users in Role / Process XML from HTTP API. Any help would be appreciated. ------------------------------ Daniel ------------------------------ (Pipelines) Get Users in Role / Process XML from HTTP APIHello, any help/advice would be much appreciated. I'm trying to send a reminder email to users in a specific Role, in a specific App, using Pipelines. As far as I can tell, there is not a JSON RESTful API call that does this (Get Users only returns all users for an App, with no info on Roles). However, API_UserRoles returns each user from an app with what Roles they have. In theory, I could somehow loop over this and send the email to only those users with a specific role. I can successfully use the Quickbase Channel -> 'Quickbase APIs' -> 'Make Request' step to call API_UserRoles and get this data. Here's where I run into trouble: How do I process this XML into a form that another step could use (e.g. loop over it and send emails)? I found this question: "To capture an XML response from an API in Pipelines" but I can't seem to figure out how get {{a.json.qdbapi.value}}. When I try to view its contents (emailed to myself) it is blank. There isn't any "Result" field or something like that from this request step available in subsequent steps. Only URL, Method, Headers, Content Type, & Body. For instance, if I want to get the JSON out of the XML (using {{a.json.qdbapi.value}}) with the JSON Handler Channel -> 'Iterate over JSON Records', the 'JSON Source' field states 'No json sources in the pipeline' Thank you for any help you can offer, ~Daniel ------------------------------ Daniel ------------------------------ Re: Notification Email: Fields not appearing or showing *no access* when user has permission to fieldI found the solution if anyone else has this problem: I had copied another Notification to build this new one. The previous Notification had recipients on it that did NOT have access to these fields. Even though those users were no longer recipients, it seemed to be using the lowest permission level from those recipients. I created a brand new Notification record from scratch, and with only the users that had access to all the fields, and it worked. This seems like a bug to me, but with an easy workaround: don't copy Notifications, always create them from scratch. ------------------------------ Daniel ------------------------------ Notification Email: Fields not appearing or showing *no access* when user has permission to fieldI have a notification email. The recipient of the email (me) and the owner of the Notification record are both in an Administrators role that have no restrictions on the table in question. Yet when I receive the email from the notification being fired, some fields are missing and one field in the subject line is printed as "*no access*". Interestingly, the fields that are not showing up do in fact line up with another role, 'Viewer' that does not have access to those fields. But again, both the owner of the Notification and the recipient do not have any limitations on the fields. Is there some way that the Notification email is using the wrong Role when determining what fields are visible based on permissions? Does it automatically pick a Role? Thanks for any insight! ------------------------------ Daniel ------------------------------Solved
