It depends where you are looking at them from - if you are on a report that would take place in the report settings If you are on a form, that comes into play when modifying the form - I can showcase that today in Office Hours, it makes a whole lot more sense to see it than explain it (: Chat soon! ------------------------------ Manny De La Cruz CS Team Lead Quickbase ------------------------------ Re: Monitor Data View Aparna, We currently dont have that level of granularity - what I would say is that so long as roles and permissions are established correctly and tested, only the right folks would be able to view records/data But in short, we dont have a "Last Viewed By" mechanic best! ------------------------------ Manny De La Cruz CS Team Lead Quickbase ------------------------------ Re: Fields Aparna, Great questions! To your first question, we cannot force a specific format in the data (like the SS# for example) but we can add in help text for people to (hopefully) follow "Must be Unique" is the filed property that lets us tell Quickbase that we cannot repeat that data - this is what we would select for any information that cannot have duplicates Formula fields can be used to calculate values - including age based on DOB. These arent covered in the fundamentals curriculum but will be mentioned and showcased (along with resources) during Week 7 & 8 To create the gender question scenario we would leverage "Form Rules" that would look at what selections are made within the form and then either show or hide fields based on wether additional information is needed To make fields required, we would leverage the "Must Be Filled In" checkbox in field properties Best! ------------------------------ Manny De La Cruz CS Team Lead Quickbase ------------------------------ Week 2 Recap and Recording! Hi Tracy! You've made some awesome progress! Love to see it (: Today we will be covering a bit of that on the curriculum. I will be showcasing it in a "dummy" space tracking app but I know it will get your brain thinking in the right direction. If it doesn't, we can always circle back to it in the office hours or offline after the class! My best guess is that we need to establish the links between those specific records and thats why we arent seeing any fields being referenced out - I'll point this out in todays lesson too and call it out for you as well! As long as Quicken has an open API (this is really in the weeds and a bit technical) then yes, we could connect with them. I don't believe it is one of our built-in connectors though, so hooking that up would take a bit more know-how. Regarding a budget and ledger - there are a few apps in the exchange if you search "budget" that can get you started. Feel free to start mapping and modeling that out and bring your questions to Office Hours!
