Why do some lookups suddenly become slow or inconsistent?
As a user relying on lookup fields for real-time data visibility, I want to understand why lookups sometimes slow down or show inconsistent values so that I can identify performance bottlenecks and ensure my data stays accurate and responsive.29Views0likes2CommentsLookup Field Not Pulling Data
I have a table-to-table relationship set up where the names of clients should pull from one report into another where we are entering data for that client. The parent table is the report with the names of clients and the child table is the report where we are entering the data. I am trying to get a lookup field set up to pull the clients name, however the look up field is not generating the actual names, it only generates the number of names there are. I need help, lol. I am not tech-savvy; my boss thinks I am. I've attached a photo; any help is super appreciated.Solved173Views0likes2CommentsHow are lookup fields stored in a child table?
When a child table has a lookup field added, does the parent data in that field get duplicated and stored in the child table, thus enlarging the child table by the full size of the looked up data? Or is there just some kind of "pointer" stored in the child table, which enlarges the child table to a much lesser degree? #Relationships #tablespace #Lookup ------------------------------ Jeffrey Pierce ------------------------------Solved38Views0likes1Comment
