How can I change the order in which fields display in the Default report?

    I want the default report to show fields in a certain order but can't seem to find a way to do that.  Is it possible?

    Hi Cowannbell,

    You can change the table's default report settings just as you would for any other report in a few simple steps.

    First, go to the table's settings page.  Then click Reports & charts.  From here, click the Reporting defaults link in the upper right hand corner of the page and choose the Default report settings option.

    Now you're directed to the default report settings for this table.  This should look a lot like the Customize this Report page for any report you have.  From this page you can choose which columns you want and also change the ordering of the columns by using the up/down arrows or the drag and drop functionality.

    If you mean the default report, then go to settings (for the table) and then reports and then at the top right is a link to the default report.  Yes, it's a bit obscurely located.

    if you man the Table Home page report, you set what report is used for the Table Home page report when you go to the Table Home page and "customize this page" at the top right.

    I don't think I have that.  Our quickbase is housed on our own servers.  We have the corporate version.  I can click on which fields should be in the default list but can't find a way to change the order. I don't seem to have the drag and drop or the up/down arrows.

    Quick Base is not housed on your own servers.  It only lives in the cloud.  There is no Corporate version.  Maybe post a screen shot of what you are seeing and we can figure out what you are trying to configure.

    No, our is housed on our own servers.  We are looking at going to the Cloud but for years we have our own.

    I figured out the issue.  I had to make sure the fields were in field list order before it would let  me drag and drop.  Thanks,
