  • 1.  when does QuickBase change action fields in the dynamic rules automatically

    Hi,

    I noticed one of my rule has been modified automatically. Field name in the action section has been changed. I'm not sure in which cases does it happen? 

    Please advise.

    Can you describe what has changed in another way? I am having trouble figuring out what you are meaning here.

    I think you are talking about dynamic form rules but let me know if I am wrong. Did the field itself change to a brand new field in there? Or did the field name change only but it is the same field?

    I believe the only way for that to change is going to be for a person to edit it and make the change. It would change to ??? or blank if the original field were deleted.

    Hi Austin,

    Thank you for getting back. I've "submission status" multiple choice field. I recently made 1 change- added default value as "Draft" to the field properties. Now I'm seeing many rules which uses this field have been auto updated. No one other than me work on this form.

    Hi Mrunali,

    If this is still happening to you I would suggest reaching out to the Tech Support Team to help you look into what is going on. They can see if this can be replicated and if it might be a bug that needs to be looked into as this isn't an expected behavior for updating a field. You can reach the tech support team by creating a case either here in community by clicking on Support where it appears in the global navigation bar or within community by selecting the question mark icon (?) and selecting Manage Support Cases.
