Any solutions for managing tool inventory?

I am exploring replacing our ToolBoss system. I would need a way for quickbase to unlock a electronic cabinet when someone checks out tools. i can handle the transactions no problem but not sure about the locking. Any ideas?

    Hi Jonathan. What is the locking mechanism? Is it using a keypad or thumbprint scan or something like that? Is it connected to wifi? What's the brand and model?

    no tool cabinet purchased yet. Im researching all of that. I was hoping to get info to help me pick one. We use a supply point system one that is going away. It would be hopefully unlocked by qb?

    If the cabinet or lock can be connected to wifi and it has an API that allows software to be written that can unlock it, then yes, we could write software that would unlock it based on activities in Quick Base.
