Is there a Pipeline call that will iterate through the table and then write a single field in the parent? Not very hard in PHP but I am not aware of the corresponding logic in Pipelines.

4 years agoI bet there is Jinja syntax to take the result of a Pipeline Search and concatenate it together.

But a far better solution will be a Formula Query. The only trouble is you probably have to wait a month or two to get early access to that feature.

Do you have any links that talk about the upcoming formula queries? Was it an empower session?

There was an EMPOWER session.
Formula Queries is bigger than huge. For those of us who have been building for a long time and even in the relatively short but intense time that you have been building, we have been programmed that the only way to get summary fields and lookup fields is with a Relationship.
With formula queries you don't need to even have any relationships. It is conceptually possible to build probably any of your apps with no relationships at all. So that is completely different thinking that we will have to get used to.
If you go back to the EMPOWER site and look for the red box for Full Agenda with links and then get to page 2 of the sessions, there is a link to launch the session on Formula Queries: Redefining what's possible with Quickbase.
