App token in Formula Rich Text field

This may be a silly question. But how do you place an app token within a Formula Rich Text field. I tried creating a text variable but I still keep getting errors. Any help on this would be appreci...

    Thanks Mark. Heres my code:

    var text = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & [Record ID#]& "&apptoken=XXXXXX"

    I also tried

    var text = "&apptoken=XXXXXX"

      The URL is incorrect.  What is the the URL  suppose to do, edit a record?  Display a record??   Just go to a table?
