Automatons - Values from other records

Question

Creating an automation, however, not all fields showing up in the drop down for "Values from other records".Specifically an address field.

Any known workarounds?------------------------------T$------------------------------

Address fields are made up of several sub-fields. The field "testingAddy" is ID 500 and contains all of the following fields.
You should be able to copy part of it to another field. I just tested it myself and if I choose a text field I can then choose values from anywhere inside of my address field to copy over. Although I see your triggers say (New Values) next to them and mine do not. I have tested this via adding, copying, or modifying a record and they all work for me.
Is there any additional info you could provide here? Like exactly what you are doing with the automation or how you have it set up?

Yes, I'm aware of the sub-parts of an address field, however, we do not want to break an address field into it's individual parts.

Yet, your solution does not address the original question: Why are not all fields available?

We have found a work around by creating a formula field to flatten the address to text and then it pulls over.

Although, documentation doesn't seem to be available, guessing an address field isn't supported in automatons.

I was able to create an Automation to populate the 6 subfields of an Address field with the respective 6 subfields of a different address field. So I think that Addresses are supported by Automations, it's just that all 6 subfields need to be populated to get you a complete address field.

Again, that is not a suitable solution as it requires breaking 1 address field into its "text" sub-fields.&nbsp;A single address field doesn't seem to be supported by automatons.&nbsp; Maybe the documentation needs to be updated?

Sorry, but I am not understanding the issue.You have two fields called say [Source Address] and [Destination Address].&nbsp; Both are type "Address".The automation will populate the 6 subfields of the Destination Address sub fields with the 6 respective fields of the Source Address field.&nbsp; So the Destination Address field will be populate as 1 apparent address field when users see it on the form.&nbsp; &nbsp;When a user manually enters data into an address field they have to type in 6 boxes.&nbsp; So same with the Automation, it needs to "type" into 6 boxes, right?------------------------------Mark Shnier (YQC)Quick Base Solution ProviderYour Quick Base Coachhttp://QuickBaseCoach.commark.shnier@gmail.com------------------------------
