Calendar month text field sorting

I'm working with a text multiple choice field that is used to choose a month of the calendar year. The months are listed as the options in the dropdown and I've chosen for them to 'Sort in this order', so they will sort January-December. This works fine while using the field to sort reports. But when used a Dynamic Filter this field defaults to sort alphabetically. Is there a way to force it to sort January-December?
