Can a Quick Base field in a connected table be converted to a connected field?

A citizen builder has built a small app which is being moved over to the Production environment where it's tables and fields will need to be connected to various corporate data sources.

1) Can tables be converted to connected tables? Or do they need to have built as connected from the start?

2) Can QB fields in connected tables be converted to connected fields?  Or do they need to have built as connected from the start?

How does Pipelines improve or impact the answers to the above 2 questions?

3) Are there strategies to convert a small prototype app with tables with no connections to one with connections?  I'm searching for QB training videos as well Youtube videos that may assist with this transition.

    Answer: Must have been built connected from the start.

    Answer: Must have been built connected from the start.

    Not really.

    3) Are there strategies to convert a small prototype app with tables with no connections to one with connections?  I'm searching for QB training videos as well Youtube videos that may assist with this transition.
    Answer: You can set up a relationship between this app and a source master table of, say Customers.  Then set up a saved table to table copy to copy across all the Customers from the main Customer table to the small Apps Customer table, and then set up an Automation to run that Saved Import each night.  Then set up an Automation to delete any Customers which were deleted in the main Customer Table.    If you need the process to happen more often than nightly, then Pipelines should be able to do that as they can be scheduled by time of day.

      Thank-you Mark.  I suspected this was the answer based on not finding anything described along this line in QB Help.   Thanks for the suggestion on how to approach this.  We'll move forward with building a connected table to source(s).
