Can a reference field be a lookup field too in a relationship?

The Foreign Key Field will be the Record ID # of the parent record. You can set Associated Session Location as the Proxy so that it will behave like the Foreign Key field. In the child relationship, open the properties of the Foreign Key field (Parent's Record ID#) and set Associated Session Location as its proxy.
