Can you explain your use case. So you have a Table report with records on it. Can you explain what ABC is and what XYZ is? I have to understand from your use case if an arithmetic average is OK or does this need to be a weighed average.
Also can XYZ be zero?

I have a Table that contains checkboxes of construction issues, things like permits, access, etc. I then have fields that have a number of HP in them if the box is checked. That allows me to see how many HP are affected by the various issues.
I am trying to put a report formula together to calculate the percent to total for permit issues, access issues etc.

Often asked, but not yet available, is the ability to do arithmetic calculations between columns on a summary report.So the best solution at this time is to make summary fields up to the parent level which in your case would seem to be the Node Name, And do your calculations up there.
