Can Quickbase auto-name a new entry based on the name of the previous?

I want to make it so if someone opens a new entry they don't have to name it...I'd like it to auto generate the field with the next sequential name, i.e. "DOC-0001" is made, the next entry auto names it to "DOC-0002

    "DOC-
    &
    Right("000" & totext([Record ID#]),4)

    Thank you for the quick reply! Completely new to QB so still struggling a bit. When I use that formula I get an error that states "There are extra characters beyond the end of the formula."

    Any clues? I've tried moving parentheses around, but have not had any luck...
