try suffixing your URL with
&ifv=1
Then you will have no save or cancel button at all.
But then make your own save button with a Formula Rich Text field

They are getting to the form by using the Add Opportunity button in Quick Base. Anyhow, I solved my issue and the details are here in this other post: https://community.quickbase.com/quickbase/topics/button-to-add-child-record-save-it-display-it-reload-then-edit-mode
Turns out it works nicely without having to send the user to the bottom of the page.
