There is nothing unusual about clearing a User field with a URL formula button.  It's the same as other field types.

var text ClearUserField = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?act=API_EditRecord&rid=" & [Record ID#]
& "&_fid_134="; // set the fid for your user field.
 
var text RefreshPage =  URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl();
 
 
$ClearUserField
& "&rdr=" & URLEncode($RefreshPage)
