There is no need for a QuickBase specific toggle as this functionality already exists on modern PCs (no idea about Macs, but I assume it works there as well)! Commonly called "middle click", you can either press down on the scroll wheel of your mouse (as if it was a button) or press both the left and right mouse buttons at the same time to generate the "middle click" action. Middle clicking anywhere in QuickBase will open pages in a new tab, so when doing this on the pencil, the record will open in edit mode in a new tab. Hope this helps.

- KimRavizza6 years agoQrew CadetHah! I had no idea! Thanks for teaching me something new. I'd still like to see a setting to have it happen automatically though. Either that or include a "return" button on the form to return them to the report. My users are not very tech-savvy and I need to make it as easy for them as possible.
