conditional field?

I have 2 fields: field 1 and field 2 within a table.  I want a field 3 to appear only if a user selects that they need an additional field.  How do i add additional field logic?

QuickBase does not do that at this time. Do you feel that you could use Multi-Select Text Fields to accomplish the task? Have the user pick from relevant selections from a list?

    William,

You CAN do this in QuickBase.

If you add a checkbox, called something like "Show Additional Options".
Then create a dynamic form rule to "Show" [Field 3] when the checkbox is checked.

If you need more guidance on making form rules, let us know, and I can post some screen shots
  • Well i am using data visualization software to look at the specific content within the fields so i don't know if having all the selections within the same field would allow me to do that.

(I'm intrigued)  What software?  What do you use it for?  _

      William,

My interpretation was that you wanted 'dynamic' field generation. If you create multiple fields in advance and only want field three and so on to show when a check box is checked, then yes.
