Hello Edward,
Currently, this cannot be done with a default text field or reports. I believe that they are coming out with new reports sometime in the near future that will allow for this type of functionality. There are many ways to do this, but it seems that your best approach would be to use a Rich Text field and use HTML to set your column width. This is covered extensively in the QB Community. Here is a link to one that I think will achieve your goal.
