Copied app did not copy automations. Is this possible?

I've made a copy of our main app to allow for some testing and such, but the copy didn't carry over any of the automations. Is there a trick to this that I don't see?

  • Automations do not copy when you copy an app.  It's documented that way, ie not a bug just a wish list feature.

If QuickBase were to allow this, they would have to change the DBIDs in the underlying webhooks. At least for Sandbox, they should do this, and currently it is not being done there either, I hope they will do it in due time.

Hi Surya - thanks for the feedback. I'd suggest bringing your vote for this to Uservoice where myself and the rest of the PM team heavily monitor and engage. I can tell you that we are in the process of evaluating our Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategy as a whole - which includes how we handle things like Automations during a sandbox-type cycle.
