Create Report Filter

Hi,

I have a Quick Base app that contains employee salaries.  Each employee has a record with an Event = "FY Starting Salary".  We are planning for salary adjustments during the year, so some employees will also have a record with an Event = "Adjustment".  

I'd like to create a single report that includes employees where Event = "Adjustment", and also includes the Event = "FY Starting Salary" for those with an adjustment.  If I create a traditional filter to include records that have Event = "Adjustment", I won't be able to see the total annual salary (FY Starting Salary + Adjustment).

  • There are many solutions here but the most simple one would be to build the report off the trial table of events filtering on where the event is equal to adjustment and then you can look up any additional fields you need from the parent employee record.
