Creating a Summary applications retrieving data from all subsidiary realms

I am in the process of creating some kind of application that can retrieve data from all of our subsidiaries. I have 10+ companies currently on Quickbase set up on different realms.

I need one Application in which I can regroup all the key data from those different realms under one roof in order to perform financial/operational overview analysis.

Creating this master application requires retrieving data from different realms. How can I do this? Can I create realm to realm relationships, or would it be easiest to have some kind of import system going on?

If anyone has any insight on how I can handle this, your help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

  • If you have control of all domains (ie you can place some script in a code page within all relevant domains) there is a way to do this using a property called document.domain. and writing a short "driver" to exchange data between domains.

I am short time at the moment as I am about to travel but you can contact me using the info in my profile for more details:

That is interesting... without going through the coding, does QB have any import function from realm to realm?

I don't think so. BTW, there is a way to configure Chrome to do allow you to do this. It would be best reserved for an administrator to do this as needed since you would not want to use this version of Chrome for all you normal QuickBase work. You have to configure some switches on Chrome that have some scary sounding names but it can be done safely if your follow certain guidelines.
