I believe that Quickbase Product Managers understands that it's frustrating for us to not be able to control the behavior of navigation on mobile. I think their solution is that New Forms, when ready for mobile, intends to provide a native option of where are to redirect to after the Save.

Do you happen to know when the new forms will be supported on Mobile or have a guess when you think they will be able to? Just trying to gauge if I should go down a different path or wait until they come out on mobile

I think at Empower, they said to watch for beta testing by the end of the year. But that does not necessarily mean that they will offer the navigation options in the initial feature set.

I can confirm that redirects on mobile do not work. There are also some bugs which land you on undesirable forms etc, when adding children. However, they did just acquire merge mobile, whose flagship product fast field mobile forms. This seems to be their long term goal, but I suspect that could be at least a year out or more, so I am also hoping they bridge the gap in the interim by getting the new forms to work on mobile. Meanwhile, I build a whole lot of custom buttons to get my users to navigate around mobile.

I think that acquisition product is more suited to field data collection. It has powerful features for capturing pictures annotating them, GPS coordinates ....I think our best hope for full fledged mobile is New Forms..
