Defaulting to Collapsed Sections in Forms

Hello - I have looked through the community history and found a couple of posts but no clear solution.

Is there a way to have a form default to specified (or even all) sections collapsed?   We have some pretty long forms and a collapsed view would be a great help, allowing the user to uncollapse the section they wish to view or edit.

    I would far prefer to use tabs rather than collapsed sections but if you really do want sections to be automatically collapse then indeed, there is simply a checkbox on the section heading  to collapse by default.
