Display message on mobile with URL button push

Does anyone have a way to display a message on mobile with the push of a url button?

I have a button that checks/unchecks a box (this triggers a notification email). I want to be able to have a message pop up that says 'Notification emails has been sent'.  I can accomplish this for desktop, but not on mobile. Does anyone have a solution?
