Display record picker only with specific values in the column of parent in child table- forms

I have 2 tables Host and Show. Host is the parent and show is the child. Table Host has fields- name(txt) & available(yes/no). In child table Show while creating forms, I want to display a list of hosts as dropdown only when the availability is Yes. is it possible in QuickBase ?

    Aswin,

    • You create a Record Picker Report that dynamically checks the value of your field [Available].




    • Then in your Show Form you specify that report as the data source.  Here is a screen shot.  I named the report Record Picker.  You might call it Available Hosts or something else meaningful to your business process.



    Now when ever you are editing or adding a record to the [Show] table your Users will only be able to pick the Hosts that are available.
