I don't even bother doing it manually anymore for Report Defaults. Every time we deploy a sandbox this setting is changed back to "automatically make it a default column" in the production app on every table even if it was set to no previously. It took me some time to trace it back to the sandbox being deployed.
I ended up just making a script that runs through every table and flips this setting to off in Report Defaults and just run that after every sandbox deploy.
Haven't bothered with a user voice for it because there is the new sandbox feature coming out. If it isn't fixed with the new sandbox, I will definitely submit one later on.

It would be good to submit a ticket to ensure that the sandbox developers catch that one before it goes into GA General Availability.

Just to be clear, that would be a bug ticket to Support and not User Voice. it's a bug they will want to catch.

------------------------------ - AustinK6 years agoQrew CommanderThis has been happening ever since I started working with QuickBase a little over a year ago I believe but I cannot give an exact timeline. This is not a new thing with the new Sandbox.
I cannot give them much info on it other than I believe it switches when the sandbox deploys. That is the trigger I have identified. Usually speaking to support is an exercise in frustration for me so I tend to avoid it but if I can submit this in some way without a ticket where they reach back out I will try. That behavior is definitely odd and if you see it persisting I would definitely recommend putting a case in with the Care team so they can look into it. Most likely they will just ask for help recreating it in your environment since I don't see anything in our logs currently about that kind of behavior resetting with sandbox. Ideally as you said the new Sandbox, which works on a very different system, will not give you the same experience and you won't see that issue again. If you do though I would definitely suggest letting the Care team know via a case, that way you can also be notified about the status and we can make sure to capture it if it happens to be something unique to your environment.
