Dynamic Report Formula Issue

I am trying to dynamically filter a report based on a table to table relationship distinctive text field summary and it is not showing up in the options for the dynamic filters. What am i missing here...

The first thing to check is the field properties to see if the field is marked as searchable.

    What field type is this?  Numeric or combined text summary field?
