Email Notification From Lookup Field

Hi,

I am trying to set up an open notification that will use the email address from a lookup field. I have a relationship set up and one of the fields is their supervisor's email address. When I try to set up the notification it doesn't give me an option to choose that field. Is there a way for this to be done?

      When I choose the open permission type it doesn't allow me to choose the field where the email address is at.



      It wants me to type a list. But I want it to find the email address from a field.
