Emailing a Record

When emailing a record, it emails whatever the sender see's. So if I have all permissions, and I send an email I could potentially email secure info.

The only way around this I can think of is to create a 'secure form' (create another form with different more secure permissions), include a button that says something like 'Record for Emailing' and then email from that form.

Is there a slicker way?

  • You could have that 2nd secure form setup and then use the Email Notification service to send the email. If the target email address / user isn't already on the form, you'll have to have a field where the user can enter that value. I would setup a 3rd form that only has the question "Who do you want to send this to?" and the email field. Then, I would setup a button that takes the user to that form. Then, I would have the email notification set to send to the email address in that field when the value in that field changes and is not blank. You would probably also want that button to first clear out the email address.
