Question

Hello:I am just trying to create a date stamp on an Exact Forms Plus document.&nbsp; Simply the date that document was created.Trying to determine the right format.&nbsp; I know there is the [EF PDF Date] field, but that is created as the document is generated and does not appear/post on the new Exact Forms PDF.I've tried ~Now ()~, but that is incorrect.What am I doing wrong?Dirk------------------------------Dirk Ruana------------------------------

Hi Dirk,&nbsp; Now() doesn't work as you can see.There are a few options:

You can use this format in the template to&nbsp; display the current date:&nbsp; ~d#today#MM/dd/yyyy~&nbsp;
You can also use MS Word itself to display the current date. So in the template itself

Put your cursor in the word document where you want the date to appear (see attached)
From the word menu items click Insert and then the click Date &amp; Time

In the popup that appears select the format you want to use and click the update automatically checkbox

That's why we start with a word document as the template, you can take advantage of a lot of the features and functionality built into MS Word
