I don't know anything about Brady labelers, but perhaps they have the ability to print a QR code if you feed it the string that you want encoded?
But in the new world order, Chat GPT, like The Borg knows all. Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated. This is what Chat GPT Suggests:
To print a QR code on a Brady label device, you will need to follow these general steps:
-
Connect your Brady label device to your computer and ensure that the device is properly installed and recognized by your computer.
-
Open the label creation software provided by Brady. This software will allow you to design and customize your label with text, images, and barcodes, including QR codes.
-
Select the label size and type you want to use, and create a new label template.
-
Add a QR code to your label design by selecting the QR code option from the list of available barcode types.
-
Enter the information you want to encode into the QR code, such as a website URL, contact information, or a product code.
-
Customize the appearance of the QR code by adjusting its size, color, and style.
-
Preview your label design to ensure that the QR code appears correctly and is readable.
-
Send your label design to the Brady label device and print your label.
Note that the specific steps to print a QR code on a Brady label device may vary depending on the model of your device and the software you are using. It's always a good idea to consult the user manual or online documentation for your specific device for more detailed instructions.
Yes, many Brady label devices and software applications support importing data from a CSV (comma-separated values) file to automatically generate multiple labels with QR codes. Here are the general steps:
-
Create a CSV file with the data for each label. The CSV file should have a row for each label and a column for each piece of information you want to include on the label, such as label text, barcode type, and QR code data.
-
Open the label creation software provided by Brady and create a new label template.
-
In the software, select the option to import data from a CSV file.
-
Browse to the location of the CSV file on your computer, and select it to import the data.
-
Map the fields from your CSV file to the corresponding fields in your label design, such as text boxes and barcode fields.
-
If your label design includes a QR code, make sure to map the QR code data field from your CSV file to the QR code field in your label design.
-
Preview your label design to ensure that the QR codes are generating correctly for each label.
-
Send the label design to the Brady label device and print your labels.
Note that the specific steps to import data from a CSV file may vary depending on the software and device you are using. It's always a good idea to consult the user manual or online documentation for your specific device for more detailed instructions.

THanks Mark.
I see that Brady is making its own QR that is not a duplicate of the QR generated by api.qrserver.com. But if I copy the URL for the piece of equipment directly from my browser it works. So as a work around could I have a field in quickbase that gave me the unique URL in a report?

I don't that you would want to be copying a Quickbase URL. It sounded to me, according to Chat GPT, that you can feed what you want presented in a QR code in a exported CSV column to the Brady printer and configure the Brady printer to print that string as a QR code.

You are correct. The brady labeler generates a separate QR which is taking me back
the QR code generator which in this case is https://goqr.me/api/doc/read-qr-code/. It will not forward to the quickbase app.

Can you tell me what the QR code does? Does it simply display Record in Quickbase?
it seems likely that if you feed that string in via the CSV export and format it appropriately on the Brady printer, it should be able to generate the same QR code.
Have you tried that? ie send the required URL in the CSV export which will simply display the record in QuickBase if that is what the QR code is supposed to do.
