The longer answer is this was long promised by QuickBase and I had a rare opportunity to directly speak to Ed Jennings, the CEO of QuickBase on a video Zoom call I think back in June and I mentioned this issue to him. To his credit, he actually knew about the issue and replied that "yeah this was proving more difficult than they thought, but it's coming".
So I guess the technical brain trust at Quickbase persevered and it came out in the November release.
