FORMS as a primary view in a Table?

I have been out of QuickBase for a couple years and a lot has changed. Hence, my return to Empower this year! I am playing around with Forms and want to see if there is a way to integrate this view into my Tables as a primary view instead of a report/ legacy view? It seems this would be a nice view to have within the tool as well instead of just for use in other places? Let me know if I am missing something as I cannot find how to use forms without a link/ email/ etc. Thanks in advance!

  • Yes New Style forms are out  in "Ga" now and New Forms with improved functionality for Mobile is out in Beta.  You request to use New Style fomrs whcih behave betetr in Mobile by registering.  The monthly release notes always has a link at the bottom to any beta testing opportunities.  https://helpv2.quickbase.com/hc/en-us/articles/33627157425812-Quickbase-January-2025-Release-Notes

But to get back to your original question, as soon as you have more than one form available to use on the table, then the system needs to know which one to use. You can go into settings and then forms and twist open the setting for Forms Usage, and it will allow you to set whether you use the Legacy form or the New Style form for different rules or for everybody or for certain reports. I suggest that you name your forms properly so you can keep track of which is the legacy form and which is the new style form.

Mark, that did it. For some reason after I saved the 2nd Form the Filters did not pop up at the bottom until I came back into the Table. I was able to see them after that. This will be a little bit of a game changer. Next thing I need to do is figure out how to get these into emails for data input to be filled out and back into QBase.
