Formula field to Convert a Muti-Select Text field to a User List field

I have a list of names in a Multi-Select Text field that I would like to convert to a User-List. Is there a formula that will do this for me? If not any other ideas? -----------------------------...

    If you're attempting to 'change the field type' you will not see it. Formula list-user isn't available to be converted to, you will need to make a new field and set it as formula list upfront.
