Native QB Calendars are pretty limited.  A few Developers have made add on Calendars that work with your app.

If you are still looking for a solution I can send you some screen shots.
We have a Google-esque Calendar and a Custom Gantt Chart tool as well. 

A lot of options out there to take you app to the next level.
