formula rich text field, insert SVG image

is there a way to insert an  SVG image to a rich text field? i have tried multiple mark up styles and the only result is the svg code inside the box I've tried    "    '     \" ------...

I believe the only supported file type (natively anyhow) would be JPG or PNG

    I was trying to insert a SVG with links inside the image , guess I was asking to much.
