Do you have the label turned on or turned off? Have you verified that the formula-text field is generating a result by displaying it in a report? Can you create a new form with just that one field on it to verify it is displaying properly in a form layout? Have you checked the usage to see what Rules the formula-text field is being referenced in; perhaps you have conflicting rules which are not being recognized as conflicting.
- Laura_Thacker6 years agoQrew CommanderSometimes a formula field can become "corrupted" - hence trying to see if one worked and the other did not. Sometimes rebuilding something is easier than troubleshooting it for days.
- TosinAdetutu6 years agoQrew TraineeI created a new form and the field output is visible in the new form. But the output is still not visible on the main form. I checked the field properties and usage and it looks the same as the test field I had created
- Laura_Thacker6 years agoQrew CommanderOn the new form, did you look at the data for the same record you were looking at it on the other form? In other words; are you displaying the same record on both forms and getting different results?
- TosinAdetutu6 years agoQrew TraineeI'm not getting different results on the forms, the output is not visible on the main form (it's blank) but it is visible on the new form.
I worked around it by renaming my test field to "original" field, and replaced it.
Still don't know why the results were not visible.
Thanks for helping,
