Grad Freight Quote

I would like to create an app that will all me to compare rate quotes from several different carriers. I have a sales order that needs to be shipped --- I would like to have a "Get Quotes" button on my sales order form ---

that once it is click ---
- API call goes out to my carrier -- provides the required info for the quote -- then pulls the quote info back into qbase creating a child quote record and inserting the quote data and saving.

I multiple shippers so I would have multiple API calls going out.

I believe Quickbase Webhooks and Quickbase actions would be required.

Any advice?

FYI: Currently doing this in excel via (VBA code)

Thank you

    Hi Brad,

In theory this is possible, however sending out multiple requests to multiple destinations with one click is giving me some pause because I know that there are limits to the size of a request. If you were sending an http request out to one vender it would seem a much more plausible scenario. . Since you want to get multiple quotes and record them all as individual records with one click this gets much more complex. I think your best bet would be to engage a Quick Base partner. Partners can create custom solutions tailored for your specific issue. If you're interested in trying out a partner solution you can search our partner database here: https://www.quickbase.com/partners/find-a-partner

    Thanks!
