Grading

Good afternoon,

I have created a multiple choice quiz (using multi-choice field) and was wondering if there is a formula to help grade it?

I saw a previous conversation on the community, but it was saying that the multi choice options were all the same, so that does not help me.

Currently we are using paper and physically grading each quiz given, but we'd like to put this on Quickbase so it can be graded on its own.

Any formulas that will assist?

TIA

Just a thought, and maybe this isn't the best way to do it, but I would add an additional field per question. It would be a formula field numeric. You could hide it from the students.

Then in your formula, you could use either a CASE or IF statement, you identify the correct answer, filling in the field with a 1 for correct or 0 for incorrect.

Then you have an additional field or a summary, that totals all the 1's, giving you an overall total.

Then in an additional field you score it out, i.e. 15/20

    Hopefully that helps.

        Samantha,

Were you able to get this working the way you wanted/needed?

Just curious as to how you did it.

        Best of luck!
