Has there been an update to Make multiple choices from a drop down list?

I'd also love to see a "check all that apply" field option created in the future.  While I've made the multiple, separate checkbox fields work for us, they are exactly that, separate fields.  It creates issues sometimes with reporting, space management, etc.
