i want to be able to have an input field to put in my invoice number and then have it go to a template i created in word

- I would highly recommend this 3rd Party product from Juiced Technologies. It will generate a file attachment to your record in pdf, .doc or .docx format. (Word)
The generated document will merge your boilerplate text on Word, with date from any any fields from the record. It will also nicely handle embedded reports - for example if you needed the invoice to break out the individual line items.

There is not a native QuickBase offering at present which will generate a Word document and Juiced are great folks to deal with. - is there a charge to use the Juiced product???
