I followed the link I pasted before in one of my apps , they request update from the customers about their projects situation every new month . I like the outcome. I paste the shot screen I hope it could be useful .
I can not help with the "blue envelope on the bottom of the column" because I never saw it.

Ditto - Where art thou blue envelope? In any event I am 100% confident you can do this with script whatever it is you are trying to do. - QuickBaseCoachD7 years agoQrew Captainwhen you have a table report which has a group by in the sort and includes a field of type email, there will be a blue envelope at the bottom of the column for the subtotals and grand total.
Clicking on that invokes the client email and populates the TO box with that's column's email addresses. - _anomDiebolt_7 years agoQrew EliteI don't see it. Must be some native black magic.
- PatrickTucker7 years agoQrew TraineePerhaps some context would be helpful. I created a report that lists users that require an email when a package arrives. Currently, I have a button that emails on a per row basis with custom subject. However, most of the time all the users in a particular group will require the notification and I want to streamline the current solution by having one button that emails those users in the column group with the custom subject.
Thanks - _anomDiebolt_7 years agoQrew EliteTwo issues:
(1) I don't see the blue button anywhere.
(2) Irrespective of (1) above, this can be done with script. It is similar in nature to this inquiry that wanted to send email to everyone in a particular role:
Alert sent to specific role(s)

Note the emails sent in my answer to the above question had customized subject lines.
The script in my answer above can be adopted for your purposes. I don't have time to do this as a demo but if you need a solution feel free to contact me off-world using the information in my profile:

I think in your example you are grouping on a user field. it needs to be an email field type.
The envelope used to be blue, but now after the purple UI change it is is black and white.
Also there is a field property in the email field that needs to be enabled, but I think it defaults to checked,
Display an icon in the totals row to email everyone in reports
Dan, once you get that working, maybe the leap to customize the Subject will be easier. - _anomDiebolt_7 years agoQrew EliteI know it is labeled "user" but it is a email field:
I was playing around with various things and just left it in that state.
But I see that option you are talking about now:
I don't normally look at these options but I have reprogrammed my robot scrapper to summarize these options for me. - _anomDiebolt_7 years agoQrew EliteThat options shows the envelopes but it synthesizes mailto: protocol links which would have a common subject line when filled in. So we are back to using a script solution - what a happy place!
- PatrickTucker7 years agoQrew TraineeCould you tell me the script I need to create and where to place it?
Thanks
