Justin - I have no problem exporting / importing the text data without the formatting. Unfortunately once the heavily formatted status reports are stripped of their rich text formatting they are not easy to read. Think of a heavily bulleted / indented / stylized Power Point executive summary being reduced to a simple text message without bullets, without indentations and without even simple bold font.
How do I export / import WITH rich text formatting?

- UrsulaLlaveria4 years agoQrew Assistant CaptainCould you convert your text fields in Quickbase to Rich Text Fields as well so that they match up? That should re-set the html to display properly?

Ursula -
The fields in Quick Base are set up as Rich Text and work properly for those (business) users who enter the data there directly. We have a large (IT) user group that has asked us to integrate data from ServiceNow to QuickBase so they do not have to enter this type of information twice. Our integration works perfectly for data that uses standard text. Our problem is with integration from Rich Text fields in ServiceNow that need to be populated to Rich Text fields in QuickBase. Since our Enterprise ServiceNow Team frowns upon integrating to ServiceNow directly, we are exporting data out of a ServiceNow Data Warehouse Table via SQL and then importing to QuickBase. The SQL script is dropping the rich text fields as text with embedded HTML rich text code that when imported into QuickBase is unreadable (all of the HTML Rick Text code remains embedded in the string).
- Perhaps there is a better way to extract the rich text fields from ServiceNow?

Can you provide a snippet of the HTML that you know isn't working with proprietary data removed if necessary?
Also take a screenshot of this field in Quickbase being displayed on the form.
From this, we should be able to see how it is being interpreted by Quickbase's formula engine.
