If you're running a list all, just make sure that Record ID# is in the report and then click it to sort largest to smallest and the biggest # is the one you're looking for. For example:
I have this table that has 75,102 record but the biggest RID in my table is 174,155 by sorting on that column.

Nice! It sounds like you guys sorted it out.
If not, you can also export both your new table records and old table to a .csv, then combine and convert them to .xlsx (Excel) format and run a "vlookup" formula to detect any mismatches in IDs between the two datasets … but, it sounds like that is not necessary at this point.
